A meet and greet in the client’s home will be required before any assignment is accepted. It is important to me that not only are you and your pet comfortable with me but that I am comfortable and confident with my ability to care for your pet. Causing unnecessary and avoidable stress or harm to your pet is the last thing I want.
Clients must have a backup person to care for their pet(s). It is always important to have someone else available if I am not available or in case of an emergency. I will be happy to help you look for other professionals in the state if you do not already have someone in mind.
Clients will be required to complete a pet sitting service contract and other paperwork before an assignment can begin. This applies to one time or on-going care.
I cannot accept every other day visiting assignments for ANY type of pet. While you are away I am responsible for your pet’s wellbeing and anything can happen during the time they are alone. This is not a chance I’m willing to take.
Cats will not be let outside unless they have access to a catio from the house.
I do not take dogs to dog parks. While I may trust your animal and my ability to care for them, I will not risk putting them in a situation with unfamiliar animals in an enclosed space.
Shared visits are not allowed unless I or your other pet caretaker have to end an assignment early.
Pets MUST be up-to-date on their vaccinations.
I do not walk multiple dogs from different households at the same time. This does not apply to dogs from different families who are staying in the same house for the duration of the assignment.
I spend a minimum of one month of the year in Central Florida. This usually happens in either October or November but could change. Clients will be notified beforehand so they can prepare in advance.
If you have any questions about these policies I will be happy to discuss them with you so feel free to reach out!
